Frequently asked questions
What is a BLDC fan?
A BLDC (brushless DC) fan uses an electronically controlled motor. It uses much less electricity than a regular induction-motor fan and runs quieter.
Does it come with a remote?
Yes. The RF remote controls speed, boost, sleep timer, light and reverse mode.
What does reverse mode do?
It turns the blades the other way so warm air near the ceiling is pushed down – useful in winter.
Can I switch the light off and keep the fan on?
Yes. The LED light is switched on and off separately from the remote.
Which room size suits a 1200 mm fan?
A 1200 mm (48-inch) fan suits most bedrooms and medium living rooms.
What other options are there?
The Rico Oric CF2501 is the same BLDC fan in black.
